Synopsis

Plot

M.A.S.T.A., the huge defence computer in Norad, has developed its own intelligence and is playing World War III. Only you and Dr Norton, M.A.S.T.A.'s creator, know this, and can stop total disaster.

Hidden deep withing Norad's command centre inside Cheyenne Mountain is a security disk and access code. It's up to you to get into Norad, find the code and stop World War III.

Notes

For the SC-3000 version, the first screen indicates that it is published by Gameworx Software, but the packaging indicates that it is copyrighted by Softgold and released by Dotsoft. It is titled 'Thermonuclear Wargames' in the software, but 'Thermo Nuclear War Games' on the packaging.

The game was originally entitled WarGames and was intended to be a tie-in to the 1983 movie of the same name. However, the film distributors changed their minds and the game was published under its current title instead.

The Sharp MZ-700 port was published by Solo Software but references Softgold. It is know as Nuclear War Games.
