This is an extreme example of game with a flawed design, clunky interface, and poor implementation, but with such an excellent writing and story that it's almost redemptive of its shortcomings. Along with the manual and casebook, this reads exactly like a lost piece of Sherlock canon, and the investigation is enjoyable, hard to unravel, and takes no prisoners with the player's wits. It requires doggedness as the playing experience is nothing short of painful, which is a shame.
