Of all Scott's classic titles, I enjoy this the most, particularly because it requires some clever timing.

I was 10 years old, when I first played this, a bit too trickly for a 10 year old, but 30 years later (2014) I put this game to rest and finished it, for me The Count is the mother of all text adventures, and finally I can put this to rest forever!

Kind of an acquired taste. This one is finicky, depends on some random timings, and must be sequenced quite precisely, requiring several playthroughs to capture all the snags and necessary workarounds. Adams raised the difficulty by having a fixed time limit, with little wiggle room. The ambiance is spoiled by attempts at humour. Still an interesting exercise.
