Today's update includes something that we haven't seen since March last year. So many thanks to Quantum for submitting a review of Cutthroats.

As April begins we pass another milestone, with over 2,500 solutions in the archive. Now many visitors to this site will know that these days there is more to CASA than just solutions, we aim to catalogue every text, or text-like, adventure ever conceived but this does mean that the name Classic Adventures Solution Archive is no longer an accurate description of the site. So here is a small plea, if you can think of a backronym of CASA that better describes this site please post your suggestion or suggestions to the forum thread, thank you.

Last time I did a top three of our largest platforms, but I must need new glasses (I do, as a matter of fact), because I completely overlooked the BBC/Electron (392 games) and PC (377 games).

Among the games added lately are three lost or unreleased titles from Brian Howarth (Beyond the Infinite, Midwinter and After the Fire. I've been trying to locate him, but anyone having additional info, please step forward.

I've also added some notes from author Barrie Eaton, who has also supplied additional info on his games.

Well, well, well, what do you know - our count of Commodore 64 titles has risen steadily lately and has now climbed past 1,000. Special thanks to iamaran for a major effort in this area!
The C64 is now our second-largest platform, with a long way to go to number 1, Spectrum (2,105 games and counting), but larger than Atari 400/800 (548 games), Amstrad CPC (373) and Z-Machine (334). That last number only covers a fraction of the Inform games out there, but more are being added all the time.

We've added a bunch of Sinclair QL titles, and the rest (?) of the parser-based Sierra games as well. As my esteemed co-editor Alastair pointed out a short while ago [actually it was Mr Creosote, on the forum, who first pointed this out - Alastair], the early Sierra titles used a normal text input interface, and though I used to vehemently deny that they belonged here, I'll have to eat my words again.
But the problem is an interesting one - what games qualify to be included here? There are an awful lot of borderline titles, with various degrees of joystick control, graphics interface, multiple choice selection and what have you. The verdict isn't in yet :)

There are now over 5050 games and over 2400 solutions in the database. Among the games added to the site during the past few weeks are the various non-point-and-click Quest adventures by Sierra On-Line (and there I was thinking that all of their Quest games were point-and-click).
